01 · Your Photo
The image you upload.
What makes a good source image?
High-resolution photos with good lighting and clear subjects work best. Phone photos are great. Avoid heavily filtered, very dark, or low-resolution images.
Can I use a photo from my phone?
Absolutely. Most modern phone cameras produce great results.
What images don't work well?
Very low-resolution images, heavily filtered photos, screenshots, and images with a lot of small text or fine detail that won't translate well to stitches.
Can I use copyrighted images?
We can't print logos, celebrity photos, licensed characters, or images you don't own. Original photos you've taken yourself are perfect.
02 · The Design Process
From photo to canvas.
How many colors will my design have?
This is customizable! We offer between 2 and 32 colors, with an adjustable option during the design phase.
Can I choose specific thread colors?
Yes. You can swap any color for another DMC thread color using our design tool.
Can I apply artistic styles to my photo?
Yes! Our AI stylization tool can transform your photo into eight different artistic styles — Illustrated, Anime, Pop Art, Modern Flat, Geometric, Retro Poster, Block Print, and Stained Glass. Each style is optimized to look beautiful as a stitched piece.
Can I see a preview before I order?
The design studio shows your design on a canvas and stitched, so you know exactly what you're getting before you place your order.
Can I come back to a design later?
Yes. Your designs are saved to your account. Visit My Designs in the studio to pick up where you left off — no need to re-upload your photo.
Can I use a Stitchly file?
Yes, you can upload your Stitchly file directly to our site. It will match the DMC colors exactly. This is a great way to create a canvas!
03 · Production & Shipping
How we make it.
How long does a custom order take?
Most custom orders are ready to ship within 2–4 business days.
Can I order multiple canvases of the same design?
Yes. Each canvas is individually scanned and printed with HappyGrid™, so every copy gets the same precision alignment.
What sizes are available?
We currently offer 8×8 and 8×10 in both 13-mesh and 18-mesh.

04 · Rights & privacy
Your photos, your call.
Do you keep my photos?
Your uploaded photos are stored in your account so you can revisit designs later. They are never used for training, marketing, or shared with third parties.
Can I delete my photos?
Yes. Delete any design from your account at any time — both the design and the source photo are removed from our storage.
What about photos of other people?
If you have permission to use a photo of someone else (a partner, child, friend, pet's previous owner), you're good to go. We don't print photos used without consent.
